Final Fantasy VII Cosplay : Cloud Strife

Cloud Strife, the spiky haired blond from the Final Fantasy VII game, is one of the most popular characters for cosplayers to tackle. And because of Cloud’s rather feminine features (hey, he even cross-dressed in FF7 didn’t he?), even female cosplayers can have a go at cosplaying Cloud. After the Advent Children movie came out, the most popular Cloud cosplay outfits feature this black redesigned costume. Other variants of Cloud’s cosplay costume include the classic blue colored outfit from the Final Fantasy VII video game, his Crisis Core costume and even the Kingdom Hearts Cloud costume cosplay.

Important parts of a good Cloud Strife cosplay include: wig, costume suit, gloves/bracers, boots, and if you’re up for heaving it around, Cloud’s sword. Some Cloud Strife custom cosplay costumes for sale will have a sword holder included with the outfit.

Final Fantasy VII: Reno

Cocky, cynical, and lazy, Reno is a highly skilled and prominent member of Turks, ranking directly below Tseng. Reno is rivals with Cloud Strife, but helped him out when Elena and Yuffie were kidnapped by Don Corneo. Soon after this incident, Reno received orders to find Cloud, but he decides not to fight on the pretext of being off duty.

Final Fantasy VII: Sephiroth and Jenova

One the best and most powerful member of the elite warriors of Shinra, Sephiroth is well known for his skills during the war. Unfortunately, when he was sent on a mission to the village of Nibelheim, he discovered that he was only a product of a biological experiment using Jenova cells. This drove Sephiroth to insanity, burning down the entire village and killing several civilians. He was assumed dead after his confrontation with Cloud Strife, but reappears 4 years after the incident and kills Shinra's president in the process.

Beautiful cosplay! And as Phoenix, the contributor, said "unique because it actually showed Sephiroth and Jenova". Wish I had more pictures of this cosplayer! Thanks for sharing this!

Aside from her original role in Final Fantasy VII, Yuffie has made several other cameo appearances in the game franchise. In the Dirge of Cerberus, she helped Vincent and aided the WRO in their fight against Deepground. She also encountered Zack in Crisis Core and enlisted him to help her find treasures in several of the game’s side missions.

I can say one thing, she’s pretty daring to be wearing Yuffie’s clothes during Winter Comiket. Thanks again to Somiya for sending this in!

I never thought I’d be posting so many different anonymous cosplays here in this blog. But I’m really curious to know who these cosplayers are and what series they’re cosplaying from.

Her headband reminds me of Naruto, but I don’t remember any ninjas like her. I could be wrong though, since I’m not all that familiar with Naruto.

Final Fantasy VII: Aerith Gainsborough

First, I have to say… This girl looks like the same cosplayer as Felicia of Darkstalkers.

Makes me curious to know who she really is… But I unfortunately have no leads.If anyone can point me in the right direction, I’m all ears!

Anyway, Aerith, the flower girl of Final Fantasy VII who turned out to be the one who can summon the only force capable of repelling the ultimate destructive magic handled by Sephiroth known as “Meteor”. She unfortunately perishes in the game, but most Final Fantasy VII fans still see her as an icon of the series.

That weapon she’s holding look like it’s really made out of marble. Awesome job with this cosplay!

Final Fantasy VII: Tifa Lockhart 02

I think I may have found a nice rival for the Philippine Tifa Lockhart.

I mean… really… she’s… “wow”.

Anyway… Tifa Lockhart is Cloud’s childhood friend. She is one of the head of the group called AVALANCHE, who’s main objective is to destroy Shinra.

Based on technicality, this cosplayer does not have the low, pony-tailed hair with the dolphin-like end… But really… Can you complain about such a tiny detail?

Final Fantasy VII: Tifa Lockhart

A recent game convention in the Philippines known as the GX-Con hosted a lot of cosplayers in the event. One of the best looking cosplayers was Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII. She was interviewed by the White-haired Journalist from Sumodownload.com.

This is definitely an impressive cosplay. She looks very nice even though it’s not a studio-type, professionally done photo! It’s brilliant!

I just wonder… If that’s the White-haired journalist beside her, then why isn’t his hair white? ^o^

Final Fantasy VII: Cloud Strife

My, my… Someone is in a very bad mood..!

Cloud Strife, the protagonist of the Final Fantasy VII game, is described to be an unsociable mercenary, who was a Shin-Ra experiment for several years. His escape from Shin-Ra resulted in the death of his companion, Zack. He was left for dead, but somehow survived with a mixture of amnesia and mind control, ending up believing that he was the SOLDIER Zack was.

This is a beautiful cosplay! It must have been difficult to replicate Cloud’s hair style. As the song goes, “Yay for hair cement!” ^_^;;;

Final Fantasy VII: Vincent Valentine

Perhaps it is because of the latest Final Fantasy VII Movie, also known as the “Advent Children” that the Final Fantasy Cosplayers have come back to life.

Now their costumes are better, more detailed, and by far more impressive.

One of the characters that have a lot of, uhm, “screaming fangirls”, is the immortal, anatomic experiment Vincent Valentine.

This picture is perhaps one of the best of Vincent’s cosplayers who’s ever attempted to look like him. The details of the costume and accessories are exquisite!

A great job well done. Simply stunning and absolutely gorgeous.
